4th of July cooking extravaganza!

I was blessed to have the ENTIRE day off yesterday. Something that doesn't happen often for me so I decided to have some fun in the kitchen. I started off baking chocolate chip banana muffins for a friend who I promised them to :) Then I realized it would be a great day to try out the bread recipe my mom gave me. It took me less then two minutes to mix the ingredients together and less then 20 min to bake up a fresh artisan loaf of bread! I finished by making a roasted corn salsa for our 4th of July pool party we were headed to after I finished up in the kitchen!

Just wanted to share the pics of all the wonderful things that came out of my kitchen yesterday. I hope that you can get into the kitchen on this holiday extended weekend, relax, and enjoy some awesome cooking. 

My belief is that you can't have too many chocolate chips ;)

This was some delicious corn salsa! Served it with fresh corn tortilla chips!

My dough was rising! That doesn't always happen for me!

It WAS as crisp on the outside and fresh and fluffy on the inside as it looks!
